My Philosophy:

As a cognitive-behavioral therapist with an eclectic base, my goal is to help you recognize the profound role your thoughts play in influencing your emotions and behavior.   I am also strongly influenced by the deep exploration of the "self" that is characteristic of “Humanistic” and “Psychodynamic” therapy.  Incorporating these complementary approaches into the therapy process will assist you in gaining broader and deeper self awareness.  They will assist me in helping you to recognize your individual uniqueness and the profound role that past experiences play in your current life.

I strive to form a “working alliance” with you; a relationship in which you feel supported, validated and free to explore your innermost thoughts and feelings in safety and confidence.   It is the freedom of self exploration in the context of both "negative" and "positive" emotions with a competent, caring professional that makes therapy unique. The enhanced degree of confidentiality and unconditional positive regard of the therapeutic relationship distinguishes it from "friendships” and other significant relationships in life. Many find this experience safe, comforting and liberating.

Please contact me today at (512)704-8349 or psychologist@drronnetteballard.com if you are ready to begin the journey toward the life you envision for yourself.
